Admission Requirements For Art Courses
Below are the general admission requirements set by the management of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) for all art students who wish to apply for any art course and study it in the school;
- (A) WAEC / NECO Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE), General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE ‘O’level) Craft Certificate with WAEC technical and its equivalent with credit in any five (5) subjects, obtained in one sitting.
- Passes at the Advanced Level in the GCE or its equivalent in at least two Arts subjects, one of which is to be combined with education.
- Good passes in NCE examination: OND in Fine and Applied Arts with a minimum overall average of B in addition to meeting general entry requirements.
- At least a merit in the University of Nigeria Diploma or its equivalent in a relevant subject.
- A credit in ‘O’ level English language is required.
- (B) Programme/Sub-Discipline/Discipline Structure to include a period of formal studies in the university industrial training / Teaching Practice / planned visit and project.
