Scholarships for M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degrees
- Fields of Study: Scholarships are available for those aspiring to pursue M.Sc. or Ph.D. degrees in Science or Engineering.
- Scholarship Slots: Approximately 20 M.Sc. and 42 Ph.D. scholarships are available for the Fall 2024 intake.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicant Profile: Ideal candidates are researchers or instructors in Science or Engineering, with the potential to contribute to their fields.
- Nationality: Applicants must be nationals of an African country, excluding Egypt.
- Residence: A current home address in an African country is required.
- Military Service: Applicants must not be active military personnel.
- Commitment to Return: Preference is given to applicants who will continue their professional roles in their home countries after completing their studies at E-JUST.
Scholarship Benefits
The E-JUST TICAD8 scholarship is fully funded, covering:
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation
- Monthly stipend
- Medical care
- International flight fare (round-trip tickets)
Study Duration and Terms
- For M.Sc. Degree: The program can be completed in a maximum of three academic years, with the possibility of graduating in two years.
- For Ph.D. Degree: A maximum of five academic years is allowed for completion, with the possibility of graduating in three years.
- Scholarship Term: The term depends on the degree pursued and includes six months of preparatory courses if necessary.
- Student Commitment: Scholarship recipients must dedicate themselves full-time to their studies and research at E-JUST and are not permitted to work elsewhere during the scholarship period.
Application Process and Timeline for E-JUST TICAD8 African Scholarships
- Submission Period: November 8, 2023 – February 10, 2024.
- Primary Screening Announcement: March 14, 2024.
- Interview and Exams: March 24 – March 28, 2024.
- Result Announcement: April 30, 2024.
- Certificate Submission Deadline: May 31, 2024.
- Arrival in E-JUST: September 14, 2024.
- Medical Check-up and Orientation: Dates to be determined.
- Start of Lectures: September 24, 2024.
