A Broad Spectrum of Courses
UNILAG’s Sandwich Programme encompasses a diverse range of fields including but not limited to:
- Adult Education
- Arts Education with specialisations in English, French, History, Igbo, Yoruba, Christian Religious Studies, and Islamic Religious Studies.
- Educational Administration, Guidance and Counselling, and Human Kinetics and Health Education.
- Science Education covering Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Integrated Science, and Mathematics.
- Social Sciences Education and Technology and Vocational Education, offering courses in Early Childhood Education, Economics, Geography, Business Education, Technology Education, and Home Economics.
Eligibility Criteria
Admission Requirements
The programme is designed to accommodate various levels of educational attainment:
- 5-year programme: Open to candidates with at least five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- 4-year programme: Designed for candidates with Merit in related Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) courses.
- 3-year programme: Tailored for candidates who hold a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in relevant courses, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
How to Apply
Application Process
Prospective students can obtain application forms online through the UNILAG website. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Visit the application portal at UNILAG’s official website or directly via http://applications.unilag.edu.ng/.
- Payment of the application fee, a non-refundable sum of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000), is made through any bank within the campus using the Treasury Single Account (TSA) via Remita Platform.
- Upon completing the payment, candidates are to fill out the application form online and submit a hard copy to the Sandwich Programme Office, Faculty of Education.

- Application Opening Date: Monday, January 22, 2024.
- Application Closing Date: Friday, June 28, 2024.
The examination date will be communicated directly to applicants.
