Admission Requirements
For B.Sc (Ed) & B.A. (Ed):
- Candidates with NCE or Diploma: Must possess a good NCE or a Diploma in relevant study areas with a minimum of Upper/Lower Credit. Additionally, five (5) Credits in SSCE are required.
- Candidates with SSCE, NECO, and NABTEB: Must have at least five (5) Credits including Mathematics and English.
For PGDE:
- General Requirement: A Degree, HND, or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised institution.
Method of Application
Interested candidates can apply for these programmes by following these steps:
- Payment for Application Form:
- Visit www.remita.net.
- Select ‘Pay a Federal Government Agency’.
- Enter ‘University of Jos’ as the Name of MDA.
- Choose ‘Institute of Education’ under Service/Purpose.
- Complete the necessary information to generate RRR.
- Pay the sum of N10,000.00 as the cost of the application form.
- Form Collection and Submission:
- Forms can be obtained online via the University Web Portal portal.unijos.edu.ng.
- Alternatively, visit the Institute of Education Finance Office at the University.
- Completed forms, along with photocopies of credentials, must be submitted by 7th July, 2024 to:

Important Notes for Applicants
- The duration for candidates with NCE, Diploma, and IJMB is now 4 years.
- Secondary School Graduates are eligible for the Part-Time Programme.
- The Institute of Education has resumed operations at the Bauchi Road campus of the University.
- Forms can be purchased both online and at the Institute of Education.
