Steps to Check Your Admission Status at GSU

Accessing GSU Admission Status via JAMB Portal

  • JAMB Admission Status Checking Portal: Currently, the GSU admission status can be checked on the JAMB admission status checking portal.
  • Procedure to Follow:
    1. Go to the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
    2. Login with your JAMB profile username and password.
    3. Scroll down to locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.
    4. Select your exam year and enter your registration number in the required field.
    5. Click on ‘Check Admission Status’ to view your GSU admission status, or click on ‘Access my CAPS’ for Admission status and related services.

For Candidates Awaiting Admission

  • Regular Checks: If you haven’t been admitted yet, keep in mind that admission is ongoing. Regularly check the JAMB site and GSU’s website for updates.

Next Steps for Admitted Candidates

  • JAMB CAPS: Admitted students should log in to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) to either ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
  • Printing JAMB Admission Letter:After accepting the admission, you can print your JAMB admission letter here.
  • Applying for Course Change: In cases where you are offered a course different from your initial application, apply for a course change on the JAMB Portal.

  • Procedure Once List is Available:
    1. Visit GSU’s official website.
    2. Click on the “Registration” module and select “Undergraduate”.
    3. Use your JAMB No. as your “Username” and “gsu2023” as your default password.
    4. Select “Print Admission Letter” to print out your University Admission Letter and the Registration Procedure.
