Law: 5 credit passes in SSCE/GCE  including English Language and Literature-in-English. And at least 250 UTME Score– English Language, Literature-in-English, and any 2 Arts or Social Science subjects.

Accounting: 5 credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Economics, and any 2 Commerce subjects and at least 180 UTME Score. UTME Subjects include Mathematics, Economics, and any 2 relevant subjects.

Microbiology: 5 credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, and Physics. Minimum UTME score of 180. UTME Subjects – Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.

IMSU Direct Entry Admission Requirements

IMSU also offers Direct Entry (DE) admission to candidates with certain higher qualifications rather than just SSCE/GCE O’Levels. The available DE admission entry routes include:

National Diploma (ND) from an approved polytechnic.
National Certificate of Education (NCE).
Registered Nurse Certificate (RN).
International Baccalaureates (IB).
American Advanced Level GCE (A’Levels).
Higher National Diploma (HND).
To qualify for IMSU Direct Entry admission, candidates must:

You must have chosen IMSU as your first choice institution during JAMB registration.
You must possess five (5) O’Level credits in relevant subjects including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two (2) sittings.
Possess the accepted DE qualification with excellent grades.
You must have an ‘A’ level/IJMB pass in two subjects that are related to your area of study.
Score well above the departmental cutoff mark in the Direct Entry screening exam.

The number of students admitted through DE is limited. UTME candidates are given priority consideration before Direct Entry candidates.

IMSU Admission Deadline

Register for JAMB UTME and sit for the exam. This typically begins around February/March.

IMSU Admission Process

  • Visit the JAMB website and create a profile. You will need a valid email address and phone number to do this.
  • Purchase the JAMB e-PIN for UTME registration from any accredited bank or vendor. The e-PIN costs N3,500, while the registration fee is N700.
  • Visit any accredited CBT center and complete your UTME registration. You will need to provide your details, O’level results, and preferred choice of institution and course. You will also need to upload your passport photograph and biometric data.
  • Print out your UTME registration slip and keep it safe. You will need it to check your UTME result and admission status.
  • Wait for the UTME to be conducted and check your result online. You will need your registration number and email address or phone number to do this.
  • If you score 180 or above in the UTME and choose IMSU as your first choice of institution, you will be eligible for the post-UTME screening. You will need to visit their website and register for the screening. You will need to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 for the screening.
  • Print out your post-UTME registration slip and keep it safe. You will need it to access the screening venue and check your screening results.
  • Wait for the post-UTME screening to be conducted and check your result online. You will need your registration number and email address or phone number to do this.
  • If you pass the post-UTME screening and meet the cut-off mark for your course, you will be considered for admission. You will need to check your admission status on the JAMB website. You will also need to accept or reject your admission offer on the JAMB website.
  • If you accept your admission offer, you will need to pay the acceptance fee and print out your admission letter. You will also need to verify your O’level results and upload them on the JAMB website.
  • You will then need to proceed to the IMSU campus for physical clearance and registration. You will need to present the original and photocopies of your admission letter, O’level results, UTME result slip, post-UTME result slip, birth certificate, local government identification, and other relevant documents. You will also need to pay the school fees and collect your matriculation number and student identity card.
