List of Courses Offered In FPTB

Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi also known as FPTB is one of the federal polytechnics in the West. Admission into this polytechnic though by merit, is quite easy because of the low number of candidates that apply for admission in this polytechnic.

This post is for the category of candidates who have chosen FPTB as their preferred choice of institution during their UTME registration exercise. The need for confirmation of courses offered in FPTB cannot be overemphasized as this would help candidates make an informed decision as regards whether to register the school or select another polytechnic that offers their preferred choice of course.

The management of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi have released the approved list of courses that are available for admission to students this academic session. Currently, there are 19 ND and 5 HND courses offered in FPTB both for regular and part time students, you will see the list towards the end of the post.

Please note that these courses have been approved by the NBTE (Nigerian Board For Technical Education) therefore students are advised to follow due process in their quest for admission into Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi.

Upon selecting a course of study, please go through the course requirements to find out if you are eligible to apply for the course in question.

In response to the above, kindly see below, the basic requirements as required by the management of FPTB.

HADEFPOLY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

a) O’Level Requirements: To study at Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings and must not be more than two years apart.

In addition to the above, candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents will also be considered at HADEFPOLY.

b) JAMB Cut Off Mark: Candidates must score up to FPTB‘s minimum JAMB cut off mark of 150 and above to be eligible for post UTME screening exercise.

Upon meeting the basic entry requirements as stated above, candidates becomes automatically eligible for FPTB post UTME screening exercise.
