Application Procedure

Payment Instructions

Prospective students are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦20,000, which covers both the application form and examination fees. Payments should be made into the Zenith Bank account number 1012129112, under the account name ‘School of Nursing Mkar’. Please note, the college does not accept POS or cash payments for this process.

Form Collection

Upon successful payment, applicants must take their payment teller to the bursary department of the college to obtain a receipt. This receipt is then presented at the office of the Registrar, where the admission form can be collected.

Form Submission

The completed admission forms must be returned to the Registrar’s office on or before the deadline. This is crucial for eligibility to sit the entrance examination.

Entrance Examination Details

Date and Time: The entrance examination is scheduled for Tuesday, 19th March 2024, starting at 9:00am. It is important for candidates to arrive on time as the examination will be conducted in batches.

Examination Format: The test will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), ensuring a fair and efficient assessment process for all candidates.

Regulations: To maintain the integrity of the examination environment, the following items are prohibited:

  • Parents, guardians, and uninvited law enforcement agents
  • Bags, GSM phones, and other electronic gadgets

Candidates are advised to come to the examination hall without these items as the college will not be responsible for any lost or misplaced belongings.

Dress Code

NKST College of Nursing Sciences Mkar upholds a strict dress code policy in line with the NKST Church practices. Applicants who do not adhere to the prescribed dress code will be denied entry to the examination venue.

 

Admission Requirements

Prospective students must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Candidates should be between 17 and 35 years old.
  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have a Senior School Certificate (WASSCE/NECO), NABTEB, GCE O’level, or its equivalent with at least five (5) credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry in not more than two (2) sittings. WAEC and NECO results can be combined, but NABTEB results are not accepted for this purpose.
