Qualifications
(i) Professor
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree (or a Fellowship of either the National or West African College) in the appropriate discipline applied for, with at least ten (10) years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as an Associate Professor.
Candidates must possess scholarly publications in both local and international journals as proof of specialisation in core areas of departmental fields of study. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.
(ii) Associate Professor
As in (i) above, but with eight (8) years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as a Senior Lecturer. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.
(iii) Senior Lecturer
As in (i) above, but with five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as a Lecturer I. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.
(iv) Lecturer I
As in (i) above, but with three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as a Lecturer II.
(V). Lecturer II
As in (i) above, but with three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as an Assistant Lecturer. Computer literacy and the ability to teach using Multimedia technology is mandatory.

When listing publications in the Curriculum Vitae, locations (i.e. country) of the journals as well as the percentage contribution of the applicant in each publication (in publications with multiple authorship) should be clearly indicated.
Applications should reach the school you are applying for not later than six weeks from the date of publication.
Applicants should also request their referees to send reports on them, under confidential cover, direct to the Deputy Registrar (Establishments) from whom further details may be obtained.
