The Role of Registrar: A Principal Administrative Opportunity
Position Overview
The Registrar acts as the Chief Administrative Officer and is pivotal in the day-to-day administration of the college. Reporting directly to the Rector, this role involves comprehensive responsibility for administrative tasks, including serving as the Secretary to the Governing Council.
Essential Qualifications
- Academic Excellence: Possession of a good Honours Degree from a recognized University or Seminary.
- Experience: At least fifteen (15) years of post-qualification experience in management, with a preference for experience in a college, seminary, or university setting.
- Digital Proficiency: Advanced skills in information and communication technology, especially in automating Registry operations.
- Health and Age: Applicants should be in excellent physical and mental health, aged between 40 and 55 years at the time of assuming duty.
Terms and Conditions
The Registrar’s position is tenured for three (3) years, with the possibility of renewal based on performance. The terms and conditions will be detailed in the appointment letter.
Seeking a College Bursar: Financial Leadership Vacancy
Role Responsibilities
The Bursar is responsible for the financial stewardship of the college, including budget preparation, financial record-keeping, overseeing transactions and payments, and financial reporting to the Governing Council.
Key Qualifications
- Educational Background: A good honours degree or HND in Accounting or a related field, along with professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CPA.
- Experience: A minimum of fifteen (15) years of post-qualification experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior management position.
- Skills: Strong communication abilities, proficiency in computer and accounting software, and leadership qualities.
Librarian Position: Managing Information and Resources
Job Description
The Librarian will manage the college’s library collection, assist with research and reference inquiries, oversee the budget, and collaborate with faculty to support curriculum development, aligning library services with the institution’s mission.
Qualifications for the Librarian
- Experience: At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience in library services.
- Academic Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in library/information science or a related field, with a Diploma in theological education and a Ph.D. in Librarianship/Information Science being advantageous.
- Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and computer skills, including proficiency with library management software.
