The examination witnessed participation from 85,600 candidates, indicating a 10.07% increase compared to the previous year. The meticulous marking process involved 4,162 examiners across seven venues, reflecting WAEC’s commitment to maintaining rigorous academic standards.

Inclusion and Accessibility

Among the participants, 211 candidates with special needs, including those visually challenged, hearing-impaired, and albinos, were provided with adequate support, underscoring WAEC’s dedication to inclusivity.

Gender Representation and Performance

  • Total Candidates: 80,904 sat for the examination across 568 centres.
  • Gender Breakdown: 39,790 males and 41,114 females, showcasing a balanced gender representation.

Achievement Highlights

  • Overall Performance: 57.19% of candidates achieved credits and above in a minimum of five subjects.
  • Core Subjects: 44.29% secured credits and above in both English Language and Mathematics, with a nearly equal distribution between male (49.21%) and female candidates (50.79%).
