Financial Support for Artistic Growth
- Each recipient of the Seed Award will be granted €5,000. This funding is intended to invest in the development of their artistic and cultural practice, enabling them to grow on their terms.
Eligibility: Are You the Artist the World Awaits?
To be eligible for the Prince Claus Seed Awards, you should:
- Be in the early stages of your career, within the first 1 to 5 years (excluding study years).
- Possess a distinctive and innovative artistic or cultural practice that addresses urgent social or political issues within your local context.
- Have received minimal institutional recognition or support for your artistic or cultural practices.
- Be from, and actively working in, one of the eligible countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe.
The Prince Claus Seed Awards Application Process
Preparing Your Application
- The application involves a set of questions and requires supplementary materials, including work samples, a C.V., a reference letter, and a pitch answering “What drives you as an artist?”
- Ensure that your application is complete and submitted via the Prince Claus Awards Platform.
